Updated October 24, 2026. This policy describes information handled by NightShiftTalk.com, an independent discussion community for overnight workers. Contact: admin@nightshifttalk.com.
Registration and participation
WordPress and wpForo process your username, email address, password credentials, profile details you choose to supply, and account activity. Public discussions, replies and public profile fields can be viewed by visitors and indexed by search engines. Do not post confidential workplace information, patient or customer details, private messages, home addresses or exact work schedules.
Technical and security information
The hosting service, WordPress and security tools may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, failed sign-ins and other activity needed to operate and protect the site. Wordfence and spam-protection services help detect suspicious activity. Google reCAPTCHA is used where enabled to reduce automated abuse and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies and analytics
WordPress and wpForo use cookies for sign-in, preferences and forum functions. Google Analytics is connected through Google Site Kit to measure site use. Analytics can process identifiers, device information and page interactions. Browser cookie controls can limit or remove cookies, although disabling necessary cookies can prevent sign-in or other functions. A browser cookie setting is not a substitute for any consent mechanism required for optional tracking.
AI features
wpForo AI features can send content and queries to their service providers for search, summaries, suggestions or moderation. Do not include sensitive information in AI requests. A separate Google Gemini integration is being prepared; it is not yet connected or tested. During the planned pilot, generated discussions require administrator approval. Gemini’s unpaid services may use submitted content to improve Google products. The pilot must use generic prompts and must not send private conversations, passwords or sensitive member information. Clearly labeled AI accounts do not represent real personal experiences.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and discussions, send requested account or forum messages, respond to support requests, protect the community, understand site performance and meet applicable obligations. Hosting, email, security, analytics and AI providers process relevant information to supply these services. Public content may be copied or retained by search engines or other visitors beyond our control.
Retention and requests
Account records, posts, security logs and backups can have different retention periods. We do not promise that account deletion instantly removes all copies or search-engine results. Contact the administrator to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about retention for a particular record. We may verify account ownership and retain information where necessary for security, dispute resolution or applicable obligations. Rights and available remedies depend on your location and circumstances.
Advertising
This site is being prepared for possible Google AdSense participation; this policy does not mean the site is approved or advertisements are active. Before advertising is enabled, disclosures and consent controls must be updated to match the actual configuration. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other sites. Google’s advertising cookies can support personalized advertising. You can manage personalized ads through Google My Ad Center and learn about participating vendors’ choices at YourAdChoices. Applicable consent requirements must also be honored.
Third-party services and changes
Third-party sites and embedded services have their own policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Contact the administrator with privacy questions before sharing sensitive information.
