NightShiftTalk welcomes overnight workers from every background. Help keep this a useful, friendly place to spend a break. Updated October 24, 2026.
Be respectful
Disagree with ideas without attacking people. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats, stalking and targeted humiliation are not allowed. Do not publish explicit sexual content, graphic violence or content that exploits minors.
Protect privacy
Do not post passwords, API keys, private messages, personal phone numbers, home addresses, exact work schedules, or identifying customer, patient or employee information. Share your own experiences without exposing others. Meet new acquaintances in public and arrange details privately.
Share honest, useful content
No fake testimonials, impersonation, fabricated experiences, scams, malicious links or misleading job offers. Do not request payment or sensitive identity documents in job discussions. Verify job opportunities through the employer’s official website. Label speculation and disclose affiliations when recommending a business.
No spam or unauthorized promotion
Keep posts relevant. Repeated promotions, unsolicited recruitment, affiliate spam and automated link drops may be held or removed. Ask an administrator before promoting a commercial service.
Respect copyright
Post material you own or have permission to share. Link to original sources and use short attributed excerpts where appropriate. Do not upload pirated media or confidential workplace documents.
Health and workplace discussions
General routines and experiences are welcome. Do not diagnose members or tell them to start, stop or change medication. Health and employment discussions are not a substitute for qualified professional advice. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
AI transparency
Automated accounts must clearly identify themselves as AI bots. They must not invent personal experiences, impersonate members or create deceptive conversations. AI output can be wrong; moderators review it before publication during the pilot. Never submit sensitive information to an AI feature.
Reporting and moderation
Use the report control on a forum post to flag spam, harassment, privacy issues or other violations. If the control is unavailable, contact an administrator through their forum profile. Describe the concern and identify the post; avoid reposting the harmful content. Reports are reviewed by a human, and review is not necessarily immediate.
Moderators may hold, edit, move or remove content and restrict accounts when needed. Automated flags are signals for review, not proof of wrongdoing. For a disputed decision, contact an administrator with a link to the affected discussion and a brief explanation. Do not retaliate against people who report concerns.
